Q1. What are the symptoms of FCoV?
A1. Fever, mouth ulcers, sneezing, runny nose, salivation, anorexia, lack of energy…
Q2. What is the difference between FCoV and FIP?
A2. Feline Coronoavirus (FCoV) is a common viral infection in cats that most often causes mild gastrointestinal clinical signs. FCoV can undergo mutations and transform into FIP virus, which allow it to spread beyond the gastrointestinal tract. While FCoV is contagious, FIP is rarely transmitted between cats.
Q3. What is the test principle for FcoV test kit?
A3. The FCoV antigen test strip uses two monoclonal antibodies in the FCoV to detect the antigen by the principle of double antibody sandwich immunity. One of the specific monoclonal antibodies is conjugated with colloidal gold particle labeling, and the other specific monoclonal antibody is coated on the nitrocellulose membrane (NC membrane). If FCoV antigen is present, it will first bind to the gold-labeled antibody to form an antigen-antibody complex. The complex is chromatographed along the NC membrane. When it flows through the test line (T), the antigen-antibody complex binds to the coated antibody at the T line, a chromogenic strip at the T line; otherwise, the T line does not develop color. The control line (C line) develops color regardless of the presence of FCoV antigen.
Q4. What is the test time for FCoV test kit?
A4. Interpret the results after 10 minutes, not more than 15 minutes.
Q5. What is the purpose for FcoV test kit?
A5. Detection of Feline Infectious Peritonitis Antigen.
